The stiffer nose is liked by some EC riders as they can pressure the nose more especially on heel turns as it will better support their bodies as they twist hard into the turn. The differences are not big but there is a difference. The stiffer nose is actually less effective on ice as it will tend to scrape a bit more than a softer nose which would cut better. Again very small difference and both would work well. For EC you want the board to stick to the snow while high up on edge so the design really isn't about getting a powerful exit from a turn. Hard to quantify this as I don't know what your experiences and expectations are. They are not wimpy but also the longer tail sidecut is a not a toss you in the air design, this is more to draw out a laid out turn. Possibly the ECVC Pro version may be a candidate. More torsional stiffness seems to give more pop that tail stiffness from what I have found.
